Good Afternoon Grosse Isle Families;

When we return on Monday, it will be JUNE! There are four very busy weeks left in the school year!

Track and Field Divisionals are on Monday, and it is forecasted to be hot.
Please ensure that your children have the following packed:
1. WATER – I would ask that every student has AT LEAST one large, labelled water bottle – we will also bring a water carrier to refill and they will be able to refill if necessary in the high school
2. HAT – I would ask that every student has a hat for the day
3. SUNSCREEN – if possible, please apply sunscreen in the morning, and if your child (like myself) is a ‘burner’ please have them pack sunscreen for the day, so that they are able to apply when needed
4. SNACKS & LUNCH – We are there for the day, but will not have access to microwaves – please pack a bag lunch. There will also be a canteen available, so you may also choose to send money in addition to snacks.
5. RUNNING SHOES, SHORTS, T-SHIRT –It is a very active and busy day, please ensure that you child has appropriate active clothing and footwear for the day.

Good Afternoon Grosse Isle Families!

This week has been a whirlwind!  Track and Field this week went great! With several of our students ranking very high, and winning individual awards.  But as a whole school team, Grosse Isle won the small schools banner! This is an achievement that our students are very proud of, we are also exceptionally proud of their tenacity and work ethic as they prepared for the divisional event!  On Tuesday, we were finally able to take advantage of the very gracious invite by Inwood Golf and Country Club http://www.inwoodgolf.net/!  It was a wonderful day to be outside to learn more about a lifelong sport, and put the skills they had been learning in Phys. Ed into practice!
